Responses of Soil Abiotic Properties and Microbial Community Structure to 25-Year Cucumber Monoculture in Commercial Greenhouses

چکیده
Cucumber monoculture could cause soil salinization and acidification, soilborne diseases, eventually yield loss. However, after a 25-year in Wafangdian county, Liaoning province, China, cucumber yields have remained satisfactory. In the present study, we investigated how abiotic biotic properties, addition to rhizosphere microbial community structure greenhouses, still sustain plant growth such long-term production. Soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, available nitrogen were accumulated significantly monoculture. Such increasing fertility was accompanied by increased abundance, which reshaped structure. Both bacterial fungal diversity, including observed estimated richness, Heip evenness, Shannon decreased significantly, while period had greater influence on diversity than diversity. Although high accumulation of nutrients salinity acidity, abundance potential pathogenic fungi did not show an obvious increase. These results indicated that maintaining properties using fertilizers balanced chemical fertilizers, especially improving potassium fertilizer application, be useful measurements for sustainable development greenhouse vegetable addition, appropriate management strategies should considered reduce risk salinization.

Responses of soil microbial processes and community structure to tillage events and implications for soil quality
The short-term responses of soil microbial processes and community structure to perturbation constitute one aspect of soil quality. Such responses are often associated with an increase in the emissions of greenhouse gases (i.e., CO2, NO, or N2O) and the accumulation and potential loss of nitrate by leaching. Here we describe our recent work on responses of soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics, mic...
متن کاملDifferent responses of rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soil microbial communities to consecutive Piper nigrum L. monoculture
Soil microorganisms have important influences on plant growth and health. In this study, four black pepper fields consecutively monocultured for 12, 18, 28 and 38 years were selected for investigating the effect of planting age on rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soil microbial communities and soil physicochemical properties. The results revealed that the relative abundance of the dominant bacte...
متن کاملAnalysis of Soil Microbial Community Structure and Enzyme Activities Associated with Negative Effects of Pseudostellaria Heterophylla Consecutive Monoculture on Yield
Pseudostellaria heterophylla is an important medicinal plant in China. However, cultivation of P. heterophylla using consecutive monoculture results in significant reductions in yield and quality. In this study, terminal-restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) analysis and measurement of soil enzyme activities were used to investigate the regulation of soil micro-ecology to identify w...
متن کاملSoil microbial community responses to multiple experimental climate change drivers.
Researchers agree that climate change factors such as rising atmospheric [CO2] and warming will likely interact to modify ecosystem properties and processes. However, the response of the microbial communities that regulate ecosystem processes is less predictable. We measured the direct and interactive effects of climatic change on soil fungal and bacterial communities (abundance and composition...
متن کاملSize fractionation and microbial community structure of soil aggregates
The microbial community structure in various microaggregates in a loamy sand soil was investigated. The microaggregates were separated into outer and inner aggregates using a series of soil washes. Further physical fractionation of inner aggregates was achieved by separation into coarse and fine sand as macroaggregate fractions, coarse and fine silt as microaggregate fractions, and clay. Resear...
